Order Management System (OMS)

An order management system (OMS) is software that records, routes and tracks customer orders from checkout to completion. It brings order details, payment status, stock and fulfillment steps into one place, so staff can see what each order needs, who is handling it and what has changed since the customer placed it.

Why it matters

A single, accurate order record reduces mis-picks, missed slots and billing disputes. When stores, pickers, drivers and support teams work from the same order status, a retailer can fulfill more orders without adding manual checks.
